People, can we just STOP the party-slinging around here? The issue is not Reps vs. Dems! It's bad ideas vs good ideas, and no one party can lay claim to have all the good ideas.
What Bush did to the country is intolerable, and in no way did he adhere to "republican" principles. Obama is adhering to Democrat principles, yet he is taking it to the extreme--not a good idea either.
The bottom line is the good old US of A has been transforming into a socialist nation for the last 50 years, with nationalization now of just about everything. When you can't decide where your money goes, when it is taken from you at every turn by force or extortion, when you can't decide what treatment you want from your doctor, on pain of death or lack of treatment, when your life is determined by people who supposedly represent you, but don't, it's not freedom. When will people realize that you can't make this many dumba$$ decisions in a row without a hidden agenda? The ones pulling the strings are NOT trying to make this nation better, or they would not be taking on more water when the boat is sinking, day after day after day, and lie about what they are doing. Obama has lied so many times now I think he is worse than Bush. Worse because he really seemed legit at first, but now his true colors show. He is not trying to make things "better." He has no interest in making things "better." You don't heal a wound by reinjuring it every chance you get, yet this is EXACTLY what he is doing.
So we are not doing ourselves any favors clawing each others' eyes out! Let's look for solutions, not point the fingers of blame! Blaming is easy; fixing is hard! But not impossible. Ladies, gentlemen, it may be time for intelligent citizens to revolt and overthrow this so-called democracy. Do you think the Constitution would have been ratified today? Do you think those on the Hill would have even read it? Do you think they HAVE even read it? Like the stimulus. "Oh yeah, I think there was something in there about the right to liberty and the pursuit of happiness, but I just skimmed it and my aide read some of it. Sounds good, where do I sign?"
I'll tell you where they can sign, or kiss!
Wake up, let's stop the stupid mud-slinging between which party is best, and look at what ideas work and what don't.
